The Atlanta Police Athletic League is a non-profit charitable organization.  PAL's purpose is to foster and encourage a spirit of trust, loyalty and value among the city of Atlanta's youth.  In order to achieve the program's goals, PAL has implemented a variety of  quality, organized activities that allow police officers, children, and volunteers to interact together.  These carefully planned activities teach moral, civic, academic and social principles to the participants, utilizing athletics as a basis for this interaction and teamwork.

The Atlanta Police Athletic League involves the Community:  PAL is a cooperative effort of dedicated Atlanta police officers, a Board of Directors and Atlanta's businesses and citizens. PAL is funded by public and private contributions which the Board of Directors administers. Funds raised for PAL support activities for youth who participate in the program.

PAL Gets Results:  There is a direct link between youth crime prevention and the PAL Program. Less privileged youth learn that they have the mental and physical resources to overcome any obstacles to achieve success. They gain the reward of feeling that they are an important and valuable part of their community and city.
